Description
Platforms on stilts are convenient for use over substrates and deep bedding sections without having to break up too much of the free-flow unbroken floor space, and also provide additional hidey spots or to place other objects underneath, etc.
Keeps food and water bowls free from substrates being kicked in, and convenient to place other objects on.
Handmade by local carpenter (Wood Decor & So Much More): Allow 3-4 working days lead time for manufacture & collection.
Use bendy bridges (not yet available here) as ladders or DIY your own ramps/bridges: https://www.hamsterssouthafrica.com/diy-stuff.
Adventure/Hidey-boxes of varying sizes can also be strategically placed as terraced steps up to platforms.
TIP: With taller shelves, please be sure to let bedding flow from underneath in order to avoid a sheer drop. Hamsters can be badly injured if they jump or slip off and land awkwardly on a hard object below.
If you have several platforms, the stilts can also be sawed shorter, in order to make varying heights, but we’ve kept them to two standards. To raise even higher, if you choose to partially cover a 30cm depth bedding, a 25cm high one can be stood on blocks (but feel free to request privately for me to discuss with the carpenter.
AVAILABLE IN FOUR CONVENIENT SIZES:
Small: 20 x 15cm x (h) 15cm (low enough to be hover over additional substrates like Chipsi Digging or a Sand Pit)
Wheel Stand or other: 30 x 15cm x (h) 15cm (fits most wheels with enough room for hamster to walk around)
Medium: 25 x 15cm x (h) 25cm (tall enough to be hover over deep bedding section)
