Enjoyed by rats, but not so much by hamsters.

There are some included in the HSA Rat Mix as part of the protein value, but you may want to offer a little treat for your rats too (or if you’re feeding another mix that is somewhat lacking).

Dried black soldier fly larvae are highly nutritious, containing a significant amount of protein, moderate level of fat, notable levels of calcium and other minerals (like phosphorus, potassium, and zinc), and a good balance of  essential amino acids.
